Molecular neuroscience is an elective course, of 4 credits, for the students of MSc III Sem (Neural and Cognitive Sciences).
Molecular neuroscience is an exciting and rapidly evolving branch of neuroscience that applies the principles and techniques of molecular biology to study the nervous system. It delves into the intricate world of molecules – genes, proteins, neurotransmitters, and other biochemical components – to understand how they govern the development, structure, function, and dysfunction of the brain and the entire nervous system.
There will be three internal assessments of 20 marks each, out of which the scores of the best two will be added to the final marks and the end sem exam of 60 marks. More details about the format, date and time of these internal assessments will be provided during the teaching classes.
